Work that truly matters
Areola restoration is the final step in many women's reconstruction journeys after mastectomy — and skilled, compassionate artists who can do it well are genuinely rare.
A rare, needed skill
Few artists train in restorative paramedical work, so demand consistently outpaces supply in most areas.
Referral relationships
Surgeons and reconstruction clinics need trusted artists to send patients to — a steady, meaningful pipeline.
Deeply meaningful
Helping someone feel whole again is work that stays with you — and with the clients you serve.
And it's well-compensated for the specialized skill it is — restorative areola work typically runs $250–$800+ per session, with many artists building steady referral income alongside their regular menu.
Figures are illustrative examples of typical service pricing, not a promise of income. Actual earnings depend on your location, referrals, and how you build your practice.
Licensing & practice notes
My trainings are professional education and continuing education — they do not issue a tattoo or cosmetic-tattoo license. Licensing is governed by your state, county, and city, so please check your local requirements before working on clients.
Proper depth and pressure can only be learned through hands-on, in-person mentorship. I encourage plenty of practice on paper and practice skin before working on live models or clients unsupervised.
